Join us at Boro as we host Tami Duquette for a 2-day Sashiko Workshop in which we will learn to make fabric envelope bags using sashiko patterns and hand-sewing.
Originating in Japan centuries ago, sashiko is a geometric style of stitching and pattern-making renowned for its role in repairing and reinforcing garments. Discover the meditative qualities of this technique as you immerse yourself in the artistery of hand-stitching, yielding beautiful and functional results.
This workshop will be hosted over 2 days: Thursday November 6th and Thursday November 13th from 6pm-830pm. The cost is $125 which includes everything you will need! Participants need to be able to attend both nights to ensure completion of project.
